The intermediate lever connects the input shafts of the transmission to the shift rod. The lever is deflected by the plastic bearing and is knocked out on almost all vehicles. This results in excessive play in the shift rod on the Porsche 924, 944 and 968.
You can use this to eliminate the unstable feel of the worn shifter. the bearing fits all Porsche four-cylinder transaxles, whether 924S or 944S2/turbo.
Unlike previous alternatives, this polyoximethylene plastic bearing is exact to the original geometry. This is the only way to eliminate shift play without compromising the smooth operation of the lever. Barely visible to the naked eye, there is an angle of 88 degrees between the two bores. This makes the plastic bearing compensate for its slightly eccentric position next to the gearbox, and the large bore runs exactly in the direction of the shift lever.
For assembly, it is sufficient to slightly jack up the rear of the car and remove the left rear wheel.
