This non-return valve is located directly behind the windshield washer nozzles. The valve is there to prevent the wiper fluid from running directly back into the wiper fluid reservoir. If the wiper water pump always reacts with a delay after activation, this is a sign of a defective non-return valve. Transaxle models are originally fitted with an L-shaped angled valve. However, the function and connections are the same, so this non-return valve can also be used.
