Shock absorber compensating plate, 3.0mm for Porsche 996 986 997 987

The shock absorber compensating plate, also referred to as a spring shim or coil spring plate for Porsche 996 / 997 / 986 / 987 (OEM part numbers 996.343.511.00 and 996.343.511.01), is a small rubber washer-like plate positioned between the top of the coil spring and the strut top mount or support ring. Its purpose is to compensate for minor spring manufacturing tolerances, ensuring the spring seats properly and maintaining the correct ride height and suspension geometry as originally specified by Porsche.
